Towards Zero Waste
Changes in waste management over the past five years have seen Scotland’s recycling rate increase from just 5% in 2002 to over 30% in 2008.  More materials than ever are being recycled and new waste prevention initiatives are helping to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill
Students have a vital role to play in using and promoting campus recycling and waste prevention services. We hope some of you will also be inspired to consider a career in wastes management or get involved in campaigning for environmental causes.
